Ohorongo Delivers Consistent Quality Service Delivery

Ohorongo Cement is becoming constantly more innovative to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for quality service delivery excellence.

This sustained consistent quality service delivery to clients has led to the company winning the Large Enterprises (LE) Service of the Year 2018 Edition at 6th prestigious Annual National Quality Awards last night (19 Friday 2018). The company is also the runner-up for the Large Enterprise Products of the year award.

The company’s Managing Director Hans-Wilhelm Schütte says “Ohorongo has Namibia’s interest at heart and that is why there has been a strong focus on customer service excellence and continuous innovation of our operations.”

Schütte advises that service delivery is not confined to the hospitality industry. “It is more than a mere smile and a hallo. It is the product, combined with the customer service excellence which satisfies customers. It how you engage and interact with all the stakeholders within the value chain to ensure that everyone is completely happy.”

“It is very encouraging for us to win this prestigious award for the second consecutive year. For Ohorongo to be where we are, we constantly have to ensure that we continuously improve on previous achievements. Regular contact sessions with our clients ensures local service excellence,” said Schütte.

With a fully equipped analytical, concrete- and physical laboratory, the company offers technical support services to its customers as required, and actively provides advice to various national & export projects.

Ohorongo won the following awards during the NSI Quality Awards.

• Winner of category 3: LE- Namibia Service of the Year 2108
• Runner up: Category 1: LE-Company of the Year 2018
• Runner up: Category 2: LE-Product of the Year 2018.

The aims to the Annual National Quality Awards are to recognize and appreciate organizations and individuals who are contributing to the quality advancement in all sectors of Namibia, and who use quality advancements to support national- and regional economic development and growth.  

Ohorongo recently commemorated World Standards Day with NSI and the rest of the world on 14 October 2018.
