Our commitment to Namibia extends beyond the cement we produce. Since the construction of our cement plant began in 2009, Ohorongo Cement has invested in initiatives aimed at strengthening communities and contributing to the country’s social and economic development.

Over the years, our Corporate Social Investment Programme has supported initiatives across healthcare, education and infrastructure. As our approach has evolved, our social investment has become more focused. Today, our long-standing partnership with the Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia forms a central part of this commitment, complemented by targeted collaborations with suppliers and partners where our knowledge, resources and industry connections can make a practical contribution.

At the heart of this approach is our long-standing partnership with the Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia, supporting community-led efforts towards access to dignified housing. Alongside this commitment, we continue to collaborate with suppliers and partners on targeted initiatives where we can share practical knowledge, skills and resources.

For us, building beyond cement means recognising that the materials we produce are only one part of Namibia’s development. The greater impact lies in what we can help build together.
