Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust (OOCT) in collaboration with Support e.V. in Ulm, Germany, made a pledge by donating an ambulance during the Otavi Investment Expo & Festival Gala Dinner. The Gala Dinner took place on Saturday, 13 April in Otjiwarongo and was attended by His Excellency, Dr Sam Nujoma (founding President), the Mayor of Otavi, the Mayor of Otjiwarongo, various councilors and dignitaries. Because Ohorongo cares about people, the company decided to assist in an identified need of the Otavi community in the handling of casualties, hence the donation of a brand-new ambulance to the value of N$ 348 000-00 to the Otavi Town Council, in aid for the Otavi Health Clinic.
“I trust that this ambulance will be put to good use and that it will assist in saving lives by transporting injured Namibians to the nearest hospital to get proper medical care. After all, a healthy community equals a healthy economy,” said Schütte
