INTRODUCTION FROM THE CEO

15 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

As Ohorongo Cement celebrates 15 years as Namibia’s pioneering cement manufacturer, we reflect with pride on a journey defined by resilience, service excellence, and a deep commitment to building our nation. From the outset, our purpose has extended beyond producing high-quality cement — we have focused on
creating employment, strengthening local industry, and laying solid foundations for future generations.

The year 2025 presented several challenges. These included ongoing geopolitical instability, high fuel prices, and the ban on the importation of 50kg bags of cement into Botswana, all of which placed pressure on regional trade and operating conditions. Through continued, constructive engagement with both the Namibian and Botswana Governments, we remain hopeful that longstanding bilateral trade agreements will persevere and that these challenges will be resolved in a manner that supports regional growth and cooperation.

Despite these headwinds, Ohorongo Cement continued to invest in the future. The renovation of our Windhoek depot has significantly improved operational efficiency and service delivery, while discussions around the possible establishment of a coastal depot reflect our commitment to improved market access and long-term growth.

Over the past 15 years, Ohorongo Cement has proudly contributed to some of Namibia and the region’s most iconic infrastructure projects, including the Walvis Bay Harbour, Neckartal Dam, and the Kazungula Bridge. In 2025, we were also part and parcel of the largest bridge developments along the route to Hosea Kutako International Airport.

Our success is built not only on product quality, but on our people. In 2025, we celebrated numerous 15-year service awards — a powerful testament to employee commitment and to the care we place in our Ohorongo family.

With confidence and optimism, we look towards 2026, ready to reach new heights together.
