OOCT took note of the plea of the TrainOccasions School in Otjiwarongo. The school, which caters for kids with special needs, lacked funding while requiring a lot of basic material.
Ohorongo Cement through OOCT donated various equipment to the value of N$ 25 000 to the school. Equipment included tools to teach basic skills and Jenny explained that the kids built the equipment on the playground themselves. Amongst others the donation also included shelving, chairs, a bed and cement, sand and stone for some much needed renovations and a sandpit for the playground. The school also rely on assistance from volunteers who give special attention to each pupil.
